Dock and Marine had been in business since 1959.
We are a family owned business that is three generations strong. Dock and Marine was started by Mr. Henry Larson back in the early fifties when he saw a demand for a reputable marine construction company in the Dade County area. He started out with a wooden barge and a crew of 5. As business grew the necessity for waterfront property to operate became a necessity. Land was purchased on the Little River in North Miami where we operate out of today. In the early 70's Henry's son Mr. Max Larson took the reins. Max worked on landmark projects such as one of the first radio platform in the water offshore from Key Biscayne and the renovation of the stone barge and piling at Viscaya. Max is now semi retired and his son Glen Larson has taken the company to even greater levels. Glen and his wife Alyssa have led Dock and Marine Construction through three hurricanes, doubled their equipment and staff and maintained a reputation of the highest level. Through three generations Dock and Marine has established itself as leader in the marine community. We have established strong working relationships with the City of Miami, Miami Dade County and all local municipalities. We have successfully experimented with different methods of construction, and built equipment to work in the delicate environment of Biscayne Bay. We have been involved in the assembly of the NMMA Miami International Boat Show for 20 years, We take on tasks from simple boat lifts and repairs, to complete marina renovations and construction. Dock and Marine Construction continues to expand with limitless potential and looks forward to the oncoming fourth generation.
